Information and Frequently Asked Questions
Booking online ensures that you have a good bike during your stay. It prevents waiting times during pick-up because we already have all your data in the system and can immediately give you the bicycles.
  •  The rental period is from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  •  Legitimation required.

  • We are entitled to request a deposit.

  •  You are deemed to have received the bicycle in good condition.

  •  The tenant will handle the rented item(s) with care.

  •  The bicycle must always be locked (with the added chain).

  • It is forbidden to go on the beach by bicycle.

  • Maximum one person per bicycle or two on a tandem. Small children must use a child seat.

  • The tenant is liable for damage to the rented item(s).

  • The tenant is legally liable for damage caused to third parties.

  • In case of loss of the bicycle key, € 10.00 will be charged.

  • Reserved bicycles are available for you until 11 a.m., unless prepaid.

  • In case of late return, we are entitled to charge an extra full day’s rent.

  • In case of premature return, the full rent remains valid.

  • In the event of theft, the current value will be charged, not including the rental price.

  • The use of the bicycle is at your own risk.

  • You are deemed to have taken note of the rental conditions. 

Cancellations

You can take out a Rental Guarantee with us that entitles you to a 100% refund up to 1 week before the start of the rental period. In all other cases the refund is as follows:
– 14 or more days before the start of the rental period: 50%
– 14 to 7 days before the start of the rental period: 30%
– 7 to 3 days before the Rental Period: 10%
– 3 days or less before the Rental Period: no refund
You will receive a refund of the rent already paid within 7 days.

You can take our so-called Rental Guarantee for each rented item. If you have agreed warranty coverage with us for an item, you are for that item:

1. no compensation is due in the event of theft, if you can show the key to the rented bike and report it to the municipality where the theft took place.
2. no compensation is due for damage to the rented item, unless the damage is caused by improper use of the rented item;
3. no costs due in case of cancellation up to 7 days before the start of the rental period.

n the event of theft or loss of the rented item, you must immediately report this to us. You must also report this to the police of the municipality in which the incident occurred.

In case of theft or loss, we equate the direct damage to the current value of the rented item. In that case, you must therefore reimburse the current market value of the Rental. The rent is not included. With us you can also choose the Rental Guarantee against payment to exclude costs in the event of theft and more.

Although in most cases we do not do this, we are entitled to request a deposit and the staff may request it. Deposit for city / children’s bicycle 100 euros, e-bike / tandem / cargo bike 150 euros, e-cargo bike and special bicycles 200 euros.
We can also ask you to identify yourself.

We have special rates for larger groups. Call or email us for more information or quotation. We can also deliver larger numbers of bicycles to events.

Most of Lemonbike’s bicycles were purchased new in 2020. The Giant Citybike and E-bike are the more luxurious models with suspension and 7 gears. The E-bike has an extra heavy battery for more range. The other brands we carry are Batavus, Gazelle, Loekie, Van Raam, Huka, Azor cargo bikes.

Our range includes a Gazelle cargo bike with a foldable container to save space during storage. Two small children and luggage fit into this. This also applies to the electric cargo bike from Dolly. We can supply a rain cover over this bicycle. We also have an electric cargo bike from Bakfiets.nl to bring a dog. A basket or bench is available for this cargo bike.

That is also possible at Lemonbike, if available. From 2 pm we charge an adjusted rental price.

Enjoy cycling in the evening? Then return the bike the next morning before 9:30 am. Extra costs 5 euro for a standard bicycle and 10 euros for electric bicycles. You can request this in the shop. With e-bikes we provide a charger so that you can charge the bike at night and we can rent the bike the next day.
